Commercial policy
Refund and cancellation policy
Candidate effective date: 6 August 2026 · Not active until public billing launches
The launch policy favors clear cancellation and bounded refunds without silently changing the billing cycle.
First purchase
A customer may request a refund for the first paid subscription within 14 days. Refunds are processed by Paddle and remain subject to mandatory consumer rights and abuse review.
Renewals
Renewal refund requests should be made within 7 days. A full renewal refund is intended when material paid usage has not occurred; otherwise the applicable legal and Paddle process controls the result.
Cancellation
Cancellation stops the next renewal and preserves access until the current paid period ends. It does not reset the billing-cycle date or create a prorated refund by itself.
Plan changes
Upgrades require an explicit Paddle charge preview and confirmed payment. Downgrades apply at the next renewal. Remaining quota is not converted into cash, credit, or transferable value.
Payment failure
A failed renewal enters a 7-day grace period. If payment remains unresolved, commercial features stop and the account falls back to the free/local path where applicable. Duplicate webhook events must never create duplicate charges or entitlements.
